Creating caring communities for athletes

Tempus Group offers a sanctuary of support for former sports and military personnel living with neurodegenerative conditions such as CTE (Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy) and EOD (Early Onset Dementia). Tailored to meet our clients unique needs, Tempus offers a nurturing environment where individuals can not only live, but thrive; embodying the spirit of those who still seek to lead fulfilled lives. Together, we stand strong and united in our mission to support and uplift those who’ve given so much throughout their careers.

Community Projects

The Tempus Community Project brings together two solutions to two very different issues.  Working with athletes the Tempus Community Project allows people and communities to access the skills, mentorship, and profile of top class athletes who then work with the community to address their needs through sports and community hubs.

Tempus Community Projects uses it’s connections with British Athletes and Elite sports professionals to bring their skills and profiles to the communities that most need them. Working in deprived areas of the UK, where many of our athletes began, Tempus Community Projects supports vulnerable young people with sports and mentorship hubs.

Hubs feature a sports pitch, a learning area, facilities, and a communal space. They provide young people with opportunities to engage with top athletes, offering role models who exemplify success and resilience. Through structured programs and interactive sessions, participants will develop skills, gain inspiration, and enhance their life prospects.

From these hubs we connect them to professional role models, specialised and appropriate sports for development training, and safe spaces, to allow children, youth, and the marginalised, to improve their resilience and reach their potential.

The Story

Tempus was created in 2023 as a direct result of one man's experience. Chris Simpson-Daniel, an ex-professional rugby player started looking for a care provider for himself aged 44 when he was diagnosed with CTE in 2022.

Chris' vision in creating Tempus is to future proof, not only the care needs he anticipates for himself and to alleviate any burden on his family; but also to help the hundreds and potentially thousands of other ex-sports players, former military personnel and their young families. Chris knows he is not alone and nor are you.

How we can help

At Tempus, we’re driven by a singular mission: to provide unwavering understanding and support to rugby players and military personnel facing neurodegenerative conditions. We understand the weight of being part of cherished memories while your own recollections fade. Tempus is here, offering tailored care and a beacon of hope throughout your journey. As physical health endures while brain health declines, we stand by your side.

Our goal is to help players feel understood and supported through their diagnosis and life thereafter. Tempus Group Villages has been designed to offer individuals of all ages suffering with CTE and EOD, supported living where they can reside, work and aspire together.

We encourage all players, suffering with any life altering condition to get in contact with us for help throughout their journey.
